Olathe police are looking for a knife-wielding man who tried to steal a woman’s vehicle Saturday afternoon in the Dollar Tree store parking lot at Santa Fe Drive near Mur-Len Road.
The holdup occurred about 4:45 p.m. at 2101 Santa Fe. A woman told police a man confronted her and tried to gain control of her vehicle. He took personal items from her and fled in a car driven by another man.
Police classified the crime as an aggravated robbery. The victim suffered minor injuries, police said.
The first suspect was described as white, in his early 30s, about 5 feet 7 inches tall with a thin build. He wore glasses and was clean-shaven with buzz-cut sandy colored hair.
The getaway driver was described as a white man, 40 to 50 years old, with a build larger than the first suspect. They fled in a gold or tan small to mid-sized car.
Anyone with information should call the Tips Hotline at 816-474-TIPS (8477).
