Kansas City police helped stop a vehicle involved with a reported domestic violence assault and kidnapping in Grandview Saturday night.
Grandview officers chased the vehicle containing the suspect and a woman being held against her will into Kansas City, where officers placed devices in the roadway to flatten the vehicle’s tires. The suspect eventually slowed down and jumped out of the disabled vehicle about 11:35 p.m. The vehicle rolled into a parked car as the suspect ran away.
The suspect only made it about a block to 68th Street and Myrtle Avenue, where officers arrested him.
Police said the woman was “shaken up,” but not seriously hurt.
