Locust Street closing this weekend

Locust Street from 11th to 12th streets in Kansas City will be closed from 7 p.m. tonight until 6 a.m. on Monday while contractors repair and replace a sewer line.

Approximately 10 feet of 18-inch clay sewer line will be replaced and repaired. An obstruction in the sewer line is reducing its capacity.

Following the replacement and repair of the sewer line, a solid liner will be installed in the sewer at a later date.
