The Jefferson City Police Department says the crash happened around 1:20 a.m. Saturday in southern Callaway County.
Twenty-five-year-old Christina Smith was headed northbound on U.S. 54 and lost control of her car as she tried to exit onto Missouri 94. The vehicle went off the left side of the road, hit a guardrail and overturned.
Smith and her 21-year-old passenger, Simon F. Sanchez, were thrown from the car and killed. Both were from Holts Summit.
