Campaign committee fundraising statements filed Monday show Rep. Vicky Hartzler in Missouri's 4th district took in $258,644 — just a bit more than opponent Democrat Teresa Hensley, who raised $245,322 in the same period.
But Hartzler goes into the final weeks with far more cash — $730,576 cash on hand, compared with Hensley's $117,465.
The filings show spending and fundraising from July 19 through Sept. 30.
Hartzler has more money in hand because she has spent less, but also because she has raised much more over the entire cycle — $1,342,184, compared with Hensley's $730,576.
Hensley slightly outraised Hartzler with individual donors, but the Republican incumbent did better with political committees.
