Butler shows class, defends Cano

Billy Butler has weighed in on the over-the-top booing of Robinson Cano Monday night at Kauffman Stadium.

And Butler nailed it (yes, at least publicly):

From ESPN's Jim Caple:

"I'm not upset at all,'' Butler said of being left off the home run derby team. "I was happy to be out there. I had a great time with my family. … There's nothing negative. Obviously, Robinson is a great player and a great guy. He's one of the best players in the league. You can't dislike the guy.''

In today's Star:
