Olivia Meyer, a horticulture intern, designed this flower arrangement inspired by the All-Star Game at the Ewing and Muriel Kauffman Memorial Garden. The flowers are displayed at the final resting place of the former owner of the Kansas City Royals and Kauffman Stadium namesake. Admission to the midtown garden (near the Nelson-Atkins Art Museum) is free. It closes at dusk.
The varieties displayed with a vintage baseball glove are hydrangeas, lisianthus and sunflowers.
