Former Yankees outfielder Bernie Williams might be retired, but he still found a way to play in Kansas City during All-Star week:
As a blues guitarist.
Williams, who was chosen to five All-Star teams during a 16-year career that ended after the 2006 season, took the stage Saturday night at B.B.'s Lawnside BBQ and jammed on guitar behind local blues band Four Fried Chickens and a Coke. Williams played along to Chicago's "25 or 6 to 4" and "Proud Mary" by Creedence Clearwater Revival.
And apparently his performance was good enough that Royals fans in attendance overlooked the fact that he was a Yankee.
