As the 2007-08 school year comes to a close, The Star is looking back on the best nine months of college sports in Kansas City history.
So the movie “Redbelt” hit theaters Friday, and mixed-martial-arts champion Randy Couture has a role in it. This is more evidence of mixed martial arts putting pressure on boxing as America’s favorite form of one-on-one combat.
Jon Wefald is the sports person I respect the most since moving here. Kansas State fans might find that difficult to believe, considering what I’ve written over the past year about the hiring of basketball coaches Bob Huggins and Frank Martin. But it’s true.
