On March 6, the Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph will present an evening of music by singer Aaron Neville and the Blackberry Winter band, a fundraiser for three ministries.
Neville of New Orleans is a rhythm and blues musician. Gospel music plays a large role in his career. Neville also performs with members of his family in the Neville Brothers Band. Blackberry Winter played music heard in the movie “Winter’s Bone” and includes lead singer Marideth Sisco. The band is based in West Plains, Mo.
According to Jeremy Lillig, director of stewardship and development with the diocese, the Bright Futures Fund, Catholic Charities and the FIRE Foundation will benefit from the concert.
