Three weekend sessions of the 2014 Regional Convention of Jehovah’s Witnesses will be at Kemper Arena in Kansas City.

Two English-language conventions will be this weekend and June 13-15, while the Spanish version will occur July 25-27.

Benton White, a spokesman, said each of the conventions, free and open to the public, is expected to see 16,000 attendees. The faith counts nearly 8 million members worldwide.

Baptisms are scheduled for 11:45 a.m. Saturday. Live performances of a Bible story and a modern religious drama will be held on Fridays and Sunday afternoons. A Bible discourse, “Earth’s New Ruler — Who Really Qualifies?” will be offered on Sunday mornings.
