I have some Becky daisies that have died out in the center leaving just a bunch of sticks and new growth on one side only. Is it too late to transplant them or should I wait until fall? Thanks. - Carolyn

Answer:

The Becky daisies in my own garden are getting ready to bloom in a few weeks. It is difficult to transplant when they are in full growth. It might be best to wait till fall. But with that being said you could give it a try. Be sure to take a nice size soil ball and replant as quickly as possible to reduce root loss. With the cooler temps predicted for later this week it just might work out. Dennis, Johnson County Extension
