Hope you can help!!! I have VOLEs in my flower beds. They eat the fresh roots of the plants. I have tried sprays. Thank you, Sandy

Voles (meadow mice), can cause major damage to gardens and flower beds.

Here is a link

to the Missouri Botanical Garden site that can help you with your problem. It doesn’t mention the use of poison to kill the voles due to the possibility of poisoning pets or other desirable animals. You can use poison but please be very careful, that should be your last option. Good luck. Randy K., Extension volunteer

KSU also has a very good bulletin on Voles. It explains their eating habits, and how to control them.

Here is the link to the bulletin: Good luck, Carole-Johnson County Extension Master Gardener
