Kansas City Restaurant Week is back and bigger than ever.
A record 185 restaurants are participating in the 2016 event, which starts at lunch on Friday, Jan. 15, and ends after dinner service on Jan. 24. Here’s how Restaurant Week works: Participating eateries offer multicourse lunches for $15 and/or multicourse dinners for $33. Restaurants often fill up fast, so reservations are strongly recommended.
This is the seventh year for Kansas City Restaurant Week, a fundraiser for the Kansas City Regional Destination Development Foundation and the Greater Kansas City Restaurant Association Education Foundation. This year, Restaurant Week also will raise money for these charities: BoysGrow, Children’s Center for the Visually Impaired and Cultivate Kansas City.
In 2015, Restaurant Week raised $310,000 for local charities. The event has raised more than $1 million since 2009.
