Eater — a national network of blogs covering restaurants, bars and nightlife — has turned its spotlight on Kansas City.
The Eater Kansas City Heatmap: Where to Eat Right Now focuses on nine area restaurants and bars garnering some “serious buzz.”
Veterans like Bluestem (recently remodeled), Happy Gillis Cafe & Hangout (with new owners), and the American Restaurant (with a new executive chef) made the list, as well as new venues like Q39 for “competition level” barbecue and Second Best Coffee which is dubbed a “serious coffee shop.”
Along with Bluestem, four new Westport operations made the listing — Ça Va champagne bar, Julep upscale whiskey lounge, Westport Ale House, and Preservation Market.
