Pickleman’s Gourmet Cafe plans a July opening in Park Place.
The fast-casual cafe is taking the former Marv’s Original Delicatessen spot at 11554 Ash St., Leawood. Marv’s closed in March. The space will be remodeled to the Pickleman’s decor.
Pickleman’s serves fresh toasted sandwiches, salads and soups, pizza and desserts.
Area franchisee Jordan Starke also owns locations in Overland Park, Waldo, and on the University of Missouri-Kansas City campus.
The restaurants deliver within a radius of 5 to 10 minutes of their locations.
“I think Leawood is going to be a very good location for us,” Starke said. “The Overland Park location has been delivering to that area so now we can do it so much faster.”
In other Park Place updates, BurgerFi is now open at at 11635 Ash St.
BurgerFi, based in Palm Beach, Fla., offers burgers made with all-natural grass-fed beef (meaning free range, no growth hormones, no antibiotics, and never frozen).
The menu includes Angus burgers, brisket burgers with 28-day dry-aged ground brisket, veggie burgers made with quinoa, Kobe beef hotdogs, craft beers, wine, and frozen custard and frozen concretes made with cane sugar.
