Crack a beer (and a book) for a good cause at the upcoming Books & Brews benefit

Drinking at the library is generally frowned upon – unless it’s for a good cause. Next Friday, the downtown branch of the Kansas City Public Library is hosting the 2nd annual Books & Brews, a “literacy crawl” that benefits Reach Out and Read Kansas City, a nonprofit that promotes early literacy in the community.
