I am pleased to announce The Star’s second GastroClub event, this time featuring Scandinavian street food.
Chef Katee McLean of Krokstrom Klubb & Market uses recipes from her Swedish great-grandparents Hazel Krokstrom and Edgar Sinclair, owners of a meat market in Elsmore, Kan., that was known for sausages.
The eight-course tasting on Wednesday, Feb. 1, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the restaurant, 3601 Broadway, will feature multiple courses chosen by the chef, plus commentary, conversation and Scandinavian beer or mead pairings by Krokstrom co-owner Josh Rogers.
