We’re celebrating a milestone during October’s Food Truck Friday.
The Star’s Press Pavilion turns 10 this year, and in celebration the building at 17th and McGee streets will be open for public tours from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7. Come learn how the press works and about the history of The Star!
The tour coincides with First Friday and The Star’s Food Truck Friday, in our parking lot off 18th Street. There will also be live music and food trucks outside the pavilion.
Two chefs have also planned a special collaboration.
Brett Atkinson of Wilma’s Real Good Food will host Carlos Falcon of brick-and-mortar Jarocho Pescados y Mariscos, which serves Mexican-influenced seafood. The chef-friends will be turning Wilma’s into a taco truck for one night, selling shrimp and watermelon, el pastor and lingua (tongue) tacos, two for $8, and ceviche for $5.
