Now that December’s here, it’s time to bring back the yearly tradition: Pictures with Santa Claus.
Much as late-night show host Jimmy Kimmel asked parents to lie to their children about eating all their Halloween candy, we ask to see your child’s funniest encounters with Santa Claus.
We don’t want you to lie — but we do want the laughs.
You know the drill: Wait in line with tired and/or shy children, then watch them rattle off a long (or short!) wish list to Santa while you snap photos and record video.
But sometimes things go hilariously wrong (or sweetly right) — and we at The Star want a front row seat to the action.
If you take a video of your child’s funny encounter with Santa, email it to email@example.com, submit a link to the uploaded version through this online form or share a public post in a message to The Kansas City Star on Facebook.
Just before Christmas, The Star will compile the best of the clips into a video for you to share with your friends and colleagues — so we can all take part in the holiday spirit!
Deadline for submitted videos is Dec. 16.
If you send an email (with a video smaller than 25 MB), please write “Santa stories” in the subject line and include your name and phone number for verification purposes.
