An overnight sobriety checkpoint in east Kansas City that began at 10 p.m. Friday resulted in 15 arrests for driving under the influence.
The Kansas City Police Department and the Missouri Highway Patrol stopped 637 vehicles at 3719 Independence Ave. in the action that ended at 4 a.m. Saturday.
In addition to the 15 DUI arrests, there were three narcotics arrests and one for felony eluding.
Four people were arrested for driving with suspended or revoked licenses.
Twenty people were arrested in connection with outstanding city warrants and two for state warrants.
Twelve people were cited for other traffic violations.
