The gem of Kansas City’s summer events calendar begins this week as one of Major League Baseball’s biggest events rolls into town — and there’s plenty to keep you busy. FanFest, which features dozens of family-friendly attractions as well as autograph opportunities, runs from Friday to Tuesday at Bartle Hall. There’s Monday night’s home run derby (7 p.m.) and a player parade through the Country Club Plaza (1 p.m. Tuesday) prior to Tuesday night’s 7 p.m. game. Plus a collection of All-Star-themed events, including watch parties and free concerts, at various venues throughout the city.
