Commuters might remember when students propped up papier mache cows on the school grounds along Johnson Drive. Brantman and his students watched motorists straining to see what they were up to at North. Then there was the time his North art students delicately placed 5,000 tongue depressors around the school’s own outdoor Statue of Liberty. It was a tribute to the restoration work taking place on the original monument. And it was art that got people talking.
