KC sobriety checkpoint nets eight DUI arrests

A sobriety checkpoint at Ward Parkway and Wornall Road in Kansas City late Friday night resulted in eight DUI arrests.
Kansas City police and the Jackson County sheriff’s department stopped 242 vehicles at the checkpoint from 11 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Saturday.
Along with the DU arrests, authorities netted: five driving while suspended/revoked violations, six hazardous moving violations, seven other traffic violations and five Kansas City warrant arrests.
