Summit Custom Homes is building in a number of communities in its hometown of Lee’s Summit.
“We love the city of Lee’s Summit,” said Megan Fratzke, marketing manager for Summit Custom homes. “Our office is here and a number of the communities we build in are here. It’s just a great city overall, with lots of dining, shopping and entertainment options. Plus, everything is within 15 minutes or less of each other. The convenience is unbeatable and the city is just a really friendly place to raise a family.”
Summit Custom Homes is known for its high efficiency homes built with exceptional standard features such as stucco and stone veneer front elevations, a three-car garage, wide-plank hardwood flooring in all main-floor traffic areas, kitchen islands with custom-made designer cabinetry, wrought-iron stair spindles with a rubbed copper finish, a spa master bathroom with tiled flooring and an oversized tiled walk-in shower with dual shower heads, premium Delta plumbing fixtures, stainless steel GE kitchen appliances and an industry-leading 10-year structural home warranty, to name a few.
“We build our homes to a higher standard, “ said Kevin Stucker, Summit’s vice president of Sales and Marketing. “Every single home we build features our proprietary Green Build Advantage program, which incorporates the latest building science to deliver homebuyers a significantly increased energy-efficiency rating. They’re up to 30 percent more efficient than other homes.”
Among others, some of the premier Lee’s Summit communities where Summit is building are Parkwood at Stoney Creek, Mill Creek of Summit Mill and Fritchie Bluff.
Parkwood at Stoney Creek is located south of Missouri 150 highway and just west of Ward Road. Its newest phase is now available, featuring oversized lots, two pools, nature trails, a play area and trash service. The community is served by the Lee’s Summit R-7 School District.
A number of homes are available in Stoney Creek. Three are complete and available for immediate move-in. Two priced are in the upper $200,000s and one in the lower $300,000s. One is nearing completion, priced in the low $300,000s and eight more are under construction, priced in the upper $200,000s to the mid $300,000s. There is still time to make personal selections, so now is the time to buy.
When asked why they chose to live in Stoney Creek, new homeowner Callie Johnson noted that she and her husband liked the community because of its central location and that they chose it because of the people in the community.
“We drove around the community and everyone that we saw waved,” she said. “You saw them outside playing with their children. It’s very family oriented.”
According to Johnson, the price was right, too. The price of the home on the lot they wanted “was just unbeatable. It was unmatched. It really was,” Johnson said.
Johnson also spoke a great deal about Summit’s Green Build Advantage. “We have very bad allergies and we looked at some of the homes on the Parade of the Homes. When we went into Summit’s homes, you could just tell that the air quality was better. It really brought it home about how different Summit Custom Homes is. They take pride in their Green Build Advantage. They’re green and you can tell,” Johnson said.
Parkwood at Stoney Creek’s office hours are 12 to 5 p.m. Thursday through Monday. For information, contact Racquel Flora at 816-309-1303.
Mill Creek of Summit Mill is east of Todd George Road on the south side of Langsford Road. This community features a 25-acre, fully stocked lake, a pool and common area, large lots and is in the outstanding Lee’s Summit R-7 School District; Highland Park Elementary school is located within the community.
Two homes are move-in ready, both two-story homes with five bedrooms and four bathrooms, priced at $334,950 and $339,950. Five homes are under construction, all priced in the $300,000s and ready for design selections.
Office hours are 12 to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. For information, contact Cindy Hill at 816-935-5551.
Fritchie Bluff is located at Northeast Tudor Road and Northeast Country Lane in Lee’s Summit. The community is quaint, tucked away in a great location of Lee’s Summit with quick, convenient access to dining, entertainment and shopping. The single entrance eliminates through-traffic, making the streets safe for walking and biking. The community is one block from Deer Valley Park and minutes from the 700-acre Legacy Park.
Fritchie Bluff is a “quiet, friendly community in the heart of Lee’s Summit. It’s the perfect place to raise a family and meet new friends,” said on-site Reece Nichols agent Tyler Morgan, adding that the community “provides a unique sense of rural living combined with the convenience of beautiful Lee’s Summit.”
Three homes are ready for immediate move-in in Fritchie Bluff, priced in the upper $200,000s to low $300,000s.
One of the completed, available homes is a Cotton Creek plan, which is a two-story, four-bedroom, 31/2-bathroom home with a three-car garage and about 2,470 square feet.
The other completed homes are a Pebblebrook and a Windsor Hills, both of which are two-story, four-bedroom, 21/2-bathroom plans with a three-car garage. The Pebblebrook is about 2,286 square feet and the Windsor Hills is about 2,200 square feet.
Two homes in Fritchie Bluff are in the early stages of the building process, ready for buyers’ personal design selections, one priced in the upper $200,000s and the other in the low $300,000s. The office is open 12 to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. For information, contact Tyler Morgan at 816-506-1202.
