Summit Custom Homes is building in two Kansas City area premier residential communities: Lakeside at Chapman Farms in Blue Springs and Foxberry Estates in Lake Lotawana.

“We pride ourselves on building in some of the metro’s best communities because we want the best for our homebuyers,” said Megan Fratzke, marketing manager for Summit Custom Homes. “We’re building exceptional homes in exceptional communities.”

Lakeside at Chapman Farms

In Lakeside at Chapman Farms, located at Missouri 7 highway and Colbern Road in Blue Springs, Summit Custom Homes has nine available homes in the building process, ready for homebuyer’s personal selections. These homes include a Cotton Creek, a Cotton Creek 4, a Braden, two Windsor Hills plans, three Preston Ridge 5 plans, a Preston Ridge 4 and a Cotton Creek. The homes range in price from the $200,000s to the $300,000s.

“I can say with certainty that each of the available homes is going to be beautiful, and what’s even more important is that they are built with Summit Custom Homes’ proprietary Green Build Advantage,” said Patty McDole, on-site Reece and Nichols agent. “They’re more energy efficient than other homes, which will save buyers money on their utility bills. Summit’s homes even have safer indoor air quality, so they’re especially safe for families and people with allergies.”

Summit Custom Homes builds with formaldehyde-free insulation products, Sherwin Williams low V.O.C. paints and sealants, a poly vapor retarder under the basement floor slab, low V.O.C. glues and wood products, Shaw Green Edge carpeting, Mapei tile grout with Bio-Block anti-microbial protection and a number of other products which promote healthier indoor air quality.

“It’s so important to us that our homes are safe,” said Kevin Stucker, vice president of Sales and Marketing for Summit Custom Homes. “We have families. We know how important it is to protect our loved ones. That’s why we treat our buyers’ homes as we would our own homes. They truly are built with concern for the people who will be living in them.”

Foxberry Estates

Foxberry Estates is located in Lake Lotawana off of Missouri 7. The community features a 4,800-square-foot clubhouse and pool with a zero-entry shallow end with mushroom-top sprayer. Children living in Foxberry attend Woodland Elementary, Pleasant Lea Middle School and Lee’s Summit High School, all part of the award-winning Lee’s Summit R-7 School District.

Summit has four available homes in Foxberry Estates: a Windsor Hills plan and three Pebblebrook plans. All are in the early stages of the building process, with plenty of time to make personal design selections.

“Foxberry Estates is on fire!” said Kelly Monaco, Reece Nichols on-site agent. “We have sold three homes in the past week alone. I believe this is going to be a great community, with its state-of-the-art clubhouse and pool, and its convenient access to the highway. It is Lee’s Summit’s best-kept secret.”

The Windsor Hills plan is currently listed at $270,950 and is a two-story home with about 2,200 square feet. It has four bedrooms, 21/2 bathrooms, and a three-car garage. The home features an open floor plan with kitchen island, breakfast nook, mudroom, integrated laundry room and master suite, and large walk-in closets. It will feature a number of upgrades, such as a covered roof over the extended patio, granite kitchen counter tops with a black Silgranit undermount sink, wood stair end-caps and upgraded carpeting.

The available Pebblebrooks are listed in the $200,000s. The Pebblebrook plan is a two-story home with about 2,286 square feet, four bedrooms, 21/2 bathrooms, and a three-car garage. The home has a breakfast nook and kitchen island, powder room off of the kitchen, large walk-in pantry and closets, and an upstairs laundry room.

Foxberry’s model home and sales office is a furnished Pebblebrook, so buyers can tour the model and see what the finished Pebblebrooks will look like. The available homes will feature upgrades such as Delta Windemere oil-rubbed bronze bath fixtures, wood flooring in the dining room, a custom faux-painted kitchen island and Mission-style interior trim and cabinetry.

Foxberry Estates is conveniently located just south of the intersection of U.S. 50 and Missouri 7. Despite the fact that residents have excellent highway access, the community is a quiet, family-friendly area, Monaco said. Residents are within minutes of shopping, dining and entertainment, including the Chipman shopping area.

Foxberry Estates is served by the Lee’s Summit School District, including Woodland Elementary, Pleasant Lea Middle and Lee’s Summit High schools. The office is open 12 to 5 p.m. Thursday through Monday.
