Since Prime Development announced the opening of five new furnished model homes at Canyon Creek for the Spring Parade of Homes, hundreds have visited the community to see the latest home design trends showcased by some of Kansas City’s best-known builders.
In their fresh, new models, James Engle Custom Homes, Lambie Custom Homes, C & M Builders, Summit Custom Homes and Roeser Homes have taken home building to the next level with innovative new designs and energy-efficient, environmentally friendly construction methods.
Three of the model builders at Canyon Creek received 2013 American Dream Awards from the Home Builders Association of Greater Kansas City for their model homes at Canyon Creek:
• Lambie Custom Homes, Cypress model, Grand Award winner.
• C & M Builders, Wetherford II model, Grand Award winner.
• James Engle Custom Homes, Laurel II model, First Runner-Up.
Construction at Canyon Creek is booming, with many presold homes and speculative homes now under way. For homebuyers who need early occupancy, there are several spec homes available for occupancy within 90 days, some available in fewer than 30 days. Home prices start in the low $400,000s, with plans including two-story, 11/2-story and reverse 1
“Response to the affordable lot prices and the wide selection of spec homes has been incredible,” stated Teresa Acklin, co-marketer with partners MaraDona Wood and Debbie Sinclair. “Prospective homeowners have been eager to take advantage of exceptional opportunities at Canyon Creek that were unavailable only a few months ago. Lot reservations and home sales continue to increase as more and more homebuyers discover what Canyon Creek has to offer.”
“With opening of the new model homes and the HBA awards that ensued, customer interest and enthusiasm has surpassed our highest expectations. We are amazed by the level of customer interest and invite everyone to join in the excitement,” Wood added.
Some of the Kansas City area’s most beautiful, rolling and wooded terrain is found around Canyon Creek. As housing construction burgeons in this revitalized Lenexa neighborhood, Canyon Creek is assuming a place among the metropolitan area’s vanguard communities. With its latest offering, Prime Development provides homebuyers a vibrant lifestyle and a remarkable living environment.
Soon after purchasing the Canyon Creek development last year, Prime Development proceeded to expand and improve the original master plan to reflect its philosophy — a conviction for high quality design and open space planning. At Canyon Creek, Prime Development has bolstered its reputation for commitment to neighborhood excellence.
Canyon Creek is a master-planned residential community comprised of 206 lots, thoughtfully planned with an eye for natural beauty. Over 70 acres of adjacent wooded park land create a serene natural environment for the neighborhood.
Paved trails along the forested shoreline of seven-acre Mize Park Lake next to Canyon Creek are enjoyed daily by resident walkers, joggers, bicyclers, fishermen and nature lovers. A streamway park next to Canyon Creek and a wooded greenbelt at its center bring the beauty of nature to residents’ doorsteps.
Homes are situated on curving streets and private cul-de-sacs, carefully designed to respect the contours of the land and oriented to provide views of open space.
Upon entry to Canyon Creek, prospective homebuyers notice a striking new stone and steel entrance monument surrounded by lush new landscaping. Inside the neighborhood, they find thoughtful residential enclaves that blend distinctive architecture with nature’s beauty to create a truly exceptional living environment.
Canyon Creek’s three-acre amenity complex exhibits a high standard for family-oriented recreation. A free-form pool, replete with a sparkling fountain, features a large swimming area with a wide shallow “reef ledge” at one side that welcomes children and parents alike. There is an expansive deck with ample room for sunbathers, a striking pergola and a handsome Prairie-style cabana building flanked by two covered porches that offer a shady reprieve from the sun.
Other recreational features include a park-grade playground, a basketball court and a large, open play field for recreational soccer, softball, Frisbee and football.
A multitude of desirable home sites at Canyon Creek include treed, lakefront, greenbelt, walkout and daylight lots. Over half of the lots are located on private cul-de-sacs and over a third back to city park land. Lot prices range from the upper $60,000s to the low $100,000s.
Choice building sites are going fast, so customers must act quickly to reserve their preferred lot. In response to high demand, construction of the next phase of 39 new home sites is now in progress, with new lots anticipated to be available this summer.
Canyon Creek has distinguished itself as the premier new-home community in the city of Lenexa, which itself received national recognition this year when Business Week magazine named the city as the “Best Place to Raise Kids” in the state of Kansas.
Located just off Kansas 10 highway one exit west of Kansas 7, Canyon Creek provides superior access to highway networks and proximity to dining, entertainment and recreational opportunities at nearby Lenexa parks.
Resident students attend award-winning Olathe Schools, including Olathe Northwest High, Mission Trails Middle and Cedar Creek Elementary Schools. Located just minutes away, resident students can also avail themselves of St. James Academy, a parochial high school widely renowned for academic excellence and a superior learning environment.
Prime Development Company’s proven financial strength and stability give Canyon Creek homebuyers confidence in knowing that they are investing in a stable neighborhood. As with all of its endeavors, Prime Development’s financial strength and mark of quality is once again on display at Canyon Creek.
