As temperatures continue to climb in July, The Estates of Highland Ridge has two perfect homes that have recently been completed and they are ideal for a family with children that is also looking for a bit of seclusion.
One of those homes located in picturesque western Shawnee near K-7 is The Davidson II by Prieb Homes. The two-story, five-bedroom home has four baths, a three-car garage and a lodge-style front elevation, which gives it a very warm Colorado feeling.

The other home that is completed and ready for purchase by Prieb Homes is The Paxton III, which is also a two-story, five-bedroom, four-bath, three-car garage home, but has a different look from The Davidson II.

When Prieb Homes took over building homes in Estates of Highland Ridge a couple of years ago, one of its missions was to take many of the amenities of a million-dollar home and put them into homes for a lower cost. The two-story, five-bedroom, four-bath and three-car garage homes range from $300,000 to the low $400,000s.
Another goal was to create a subdivision in which the homes are unique. Currently, nine different homes are under construction and they have six different floor plans, one being a 1½-story home.
“The community has a very unique feel because there are so many different types of houses so you are not walking into your neighbor’s house feeling like it is your home,” Lilja said. “Every home has a different look and a different feel based on different floor plans.”
The other exciting news about Estates of Highland Ridge is six homesites remain.
“You can select all of your options on each home that is being framed,” Lilja said. “You can customize it to make it more your own.”
Now is the time to act because of the booming new home market, there is a scarcity of available homesites ready for construction. Add in the fact that the Estates of Highland Ridge is a popular new subdivision, the available homes and homesites are primed to be sold this summer.
The Estates of Highland Ridge, Lilja said, is a quiet, little secret. The subdivision is located in the De Soto school district. The three schools are Belmont Elementary, Mill Creek Middle School and Mill Valley High School.
“Estates of Highland Ridge is in a growing community that has families that already live here,” Lilja said. “If you walk around the perimeter of the subdivision, the community is lined with trees. That is what is so spectacular and what we love about this neighborhood.”
