When Dan and Madelon Howe decided to escape the hustle and bustle of their previous home, they visited several maintenance-provided communities. After “stumbling onto” The Fountains at Raintree, as Dan described, the Howes were drawn to the community’s layout, quality and amenities. The rest, as they say, was history.

The Fountains at Raintree, a Lee’s Summit community built by Glen Jones Homes Inc., is thoughtfully designed to appeal to the baby boomer age group. An appealing combination of amenities, idyllic location and quality-built, customizable homes have drawn a number of homeowners to the community; so many, in fact, that only 24 home sites remain in The Fountains at Raintree.

“We only have a few lots left until The Fountains at Raintree is a completed community of 176 homeowners that have chosen to make this more than a neighborhood — it’s a lifestyle,” said Mary Jones, who markets the community.

Prospective homeowners eager to join the Howes in The Fountains at Raintree can select from several speculative homes that are completed or underway, including the popular Nova, Brentwood and Bayfield floor plans. Or they can follow in Dan and Madelon’s footsteps and opt to custom build a home, a popular choice since builder Glen Jones encourages individual customization of each floor plan.

“We added a third garage to the home and made some changes to the cabinetry,” Dan said. “We’re very pleased with the result.”

The newly finished Nova plan, which is currently serving as the community’s sales office, is another example of the sort of customization that’s possible. The home includes a three-car garage, floor-to-ceiling rock fireplace and an open concept that’s accented by warm, rustic features, as well as a finished lower level with a bar, entertainment area and fourth bedroom. The floor plan has evolved to its current iteration based on resident feedback and other input.

“You’ll want to come and see the changes that have evolved with this open concept,” Mary said.

Throughout the building process, Dan and Madelon quickly discovered builder Glen Jones’ commitment to quality and Mary Jones’ knack for helping homeowners easily navigate the design process.

“They’re great people to work with,” Dan said. “Glen does great quality work and always finishes on time. And Mary was super in guiding us through the selection process, which can be intimidating even though we’ve done it before.”

Regardless of the floor plan, whether prospective homeowners opt for a speculative home or prefer to custom build, homes at The Fountains at Raintree possess a wealth of standard amenities often charged as upgrades in other home developments.

Standard finishes include choices of tile, cabinet wood and stain, and granite counter tops. Other design components include crown molding, architectural arches, central vacuum, security wiring, zero-clearance fireplaces, heat pumps, wiring for 5.1 surround sound, garage door openers and keyless entry.

Exterior features include composition roofs, vertical vinyl siding and soffits, stucco and brick or stone front facades, vinyl-clad thermal-break windows, lifetime warranty fiberglass front doors and storm doors.

Whether you opt to build a home at The Fountains at Raintree or prefer a speculative home that’s already in progress, you’ll work with a team that’s not only committed to superior customer service but also that brings a combined industry experience of more than a century, which means you’ll benefit from their wealth of knowledge and expertise.

“We’re here to serve you,” Mary said. “We want to make your moving experience as fun as possible regardless of whether you’re building or purchasing one of the speculative homes we list or opting for a resale home, in which case, we’ll be happy to take care of the listing for you. We’ll do whatever we can to help you quickly and easily move into your new home at The Fountains at Raintree.”

In addition to stylish, functional and well-built homes, The Fountains at Raintree offers residents a wealth of amenities, including walking trails throughout the community and proximity to Raintree Lake, which offers boating and fishing. The Fountains HOA includes mowing, irrigated lawns and common areas, trash pickup and snow removal.

Homeowners enjoy the Lee’s Summit amenities but with Cass County taxes. And the community is home to a number of events throughout the year including book clubs, Bunco, quilting group, bridge clubs and knitting, among others, giving homeowners the opportunity spend time with their neighbors.

“Let us help you sell your home and join this incredible community where you can have more leisure time while the trash pickup, mowing, snow removal and irrigation are done for you,” Mary said. “You’ll fall in love with this community.”
