LeasingKC.com has just celebrated its first birthday and is quickly growing in popularity among prospective renters. Traffic numbers to the site are nearing 10,000 visits a month and an impressive one in five users ends up contacting a property directly through the site.
“We are happy with the growth so far,” said Dave Tiehen, who owns the company with Mike Tiehen and Corey Egan. “Website traffic has greatly increased and, more importantly, we are posting new listings to our site weekly.”
The three owners are all Kansas City area natives, giving them insight into the local leasing market. Each of the three brings a little something different to the table. Corey spent four years in Los Angeles working for their partner company, Pacific Listings, where he honed his marketing and leasing skills in one of the largest and most dynamic markets in the country.

Dave spent six years on active duty as an Army intelligence officer and served in both Iraq and Afghanistan, making LeasingKC a veteran-owned company.
In late 2012 the three got together and decided there was a great opportunity in Kansas City to start a leasing company that focuses on technology and customer service.
LeasingKC.com has since become a popular search engine for renters who want to find the perfect apartment, condo, duplex, townhome or home in the Kansas City area. After operating in Kansas City for over a year and analyzing the demands of both renters and property managers, the team has made some big improvements to its website, making it easy and simple for renters to connect with managers. Every listing has a video tour of the property and/or floor plans that give prospective renters an accurate depiction of the space in which they might be living. Renters are able to search for an apartment, duplex, condo or home based on specifications such as price range, number of bedrooms/bathrooms and location, just to name a few. And the site is available to renters at no cost to them and with no sign up required.
If users see a property they are interested in, they simply fill out the contact property box on each listing and are immediately given the direct contact information of the leasing office, agent and/or property manager for that listing.
