Cedar Creek residents vacation at home amid resort-style surroundings

With a resort-style amenities package that includes everything from swimming pools and a lake to abundant green space and a golf course, Cedar Creek offers a luxurious, lifestyle-oriented retreat that’s especially appealing during the summer months, when Cedar Creek homeowners agree that life in the community is like being on a daily vacation.

Elsewhere in the community, prospective buyers can explore new homes being built by Tabernacle Homes in The Links, Don Julian Builders in The Woods at Southglen, Keystone Building Co. in The Villas of Shadow Glen and Roeser Homes in Shadow Highlands.

For prospective homeowners interested in a new home that can accommodate a specific move-in timeline, a number of speculative homes are in progress throughout Cedar Creek. As a result, prospective buyers have the flexibility they need in the price points and home styles they covet.

Located within a short walk of Cedar Creek Elementary School, The Crossings at Southglen features walkout, daylight and flat home sites and is an ideal choice for families eager to experience all that Cedar Creek has to offer. Homes are priced from $350,000 to $500,000 and five of Cedar Creek’s renowned builders have a number of new spec homes underway.

A sampling of what you’ll find in The Crossings at Southglen includes a four-bedroom Wakefield plan from Rodrock Homes that includes an open kitchen, breakfast, great room and formal dining room and is priced at $399,500.

Roeser Homes is working on a two-story Chloe floor plan that features a main-floor flex room, formal dining room and oversized master suite and is priced at $422,700.

The Avalon II from Meridian Homes is a two-story design that includes five bedrooms, four of which are on the second floor with laundry and a loft.

In addition to new model homes, there are several speculative homes available, too, including two Wakefield homes from Rodrock Homes; two Avalon II plans from Meridian Homes; a Chloe from Roeser Homes that’s priced at $430,450; an Irving from Rodrock Homes; and two from James Engle Custom Homes: an Emery Expanded at $426,770 and an Emery Reverse at $432,915.

In the Woods of Southglen, Roeser Homes is working on a four-bedroom Chloe plan. Priced at $467,450, the two-story home is on a treed, walkout, cul-de-sac lot and features a walk-in pantry, formal dining room and a spacious master suite.

Don Julian Builders has a two-story Windsor available, complete with an open floor plan with a covered patio and main-floor study that’s priced at $474,900.

KC Building Co.’s Traveler features four bedrooms in a two-story layout that includes an oversized master bedroom with fireplace and a spacious pantry, priced at $625,000.

LDH Construction has a four-bedroom, 41/2 bathroom, reverse 11/2-story Fairfield plan on a wooded walkout lot, priced at $529,950.

In Shadow Highlands, Roeser Homes offers the Bailey, a two-story home under construction on a treed lot that’s accented by a wealth of thoughtful extras, including a covered patio, and is priced at $513,217.

If you prefer a maintenance-provided home near Shadow Glen golf course, The Links and The Villas of Shadow Glen are ideal options. Tabernacle Homes’ three-bedroom Legacy floor plan includes two main-level bedrooms, a deck and walk-in pantry. The home is priced at $449,370.

Keystone Building Company has its four-bedroom, three-bathroom reverse 11/2-story Aspen plan on the golf course for $534,900.

Although the quality-built homes are undoubtedly the center of attention at Cedar Creek, the community’s impressive array of amenities is a close second. The amenities package includes swimming pools, tennis courts, a lake, a golf course, a fully equipped community center and more, all of which help homeowners feel like they’re on a permanent vacation.

In addition, Cedar Creek hosts a variety of annual and ongoing events, including a community-wide garage sale and holiday-specific festivities. Other events include a ladies’ lunch bunch, walking group, yoga and a men’s lunch group, all of which contribute to a heightened sense of community and companionship within Cedar Creek.
