As daylight ends earlier and holidays grab attention, real estate buyers are sometimes justified in thinking their buying choices during the winter seem to drop with the temperatures. Agents often see a drop in their inventory of homes during the winter as sellers focus on other priorities. However, Jeff Cates, president of Cates Auction & Realty, has a different perspective with multiple fine homes on his company’s auction calendar over the next few months.
“Our sellers choose the auction method for a variety of reasons, but in every case, a motivation to sell quickly and easily trumps any seasonal second-guessing,” he said.
