The Spring Parade of Homes entry at the Village of Loch Lloyd by builder Cecil & Ray Homes at 101 Dunhill Court is an American Dream Grand Award winner. It is open during the Parade from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily through May 11.
“Offered at $1,174,950, this custom-designed masterpiece is a must-see, so take advantage of the opportunity to tour it today,” said Chuck Campbell, director of marketing for Five-Star Lifestyles.
Builders Bryan Cecil and Ryan Ray were drawn to Loch Lloyd by the remarkable resort lifestyle inside the gated community highlighted by the new Tom Watson Signature Design golf course. Their work at Loch Lloyd has gained much renown as one of their custom homes was featured in the November issue of 435 Magazine.
Their new model home is a custom designed reverse 11/2-story on a private cul-de-sac home site backing to a forest on what the developer calls one of the best home sites in the new development.
“It’s very private,” Cecil said. “It was our favorite lot in the new development. It’s a large pie-shaped lot at the end of a cul-de-sac, offering complete privacy in a very beautiful and relaxing environment. It’s the perfect setting for the outdoor living space we’ve incorporated into the design.”
He added that their new model is unlike anything they’ve built before, with features that take advantage of the natural setting and expanded outdoor living areas.
Ray said they worked with architects Elswood Smith Carlson to design this home to fit the contours of the land. “It has a walkout lower level, but it also has a lanai off the main level that flows directly onto a patio. It’s more convenient for pets and for gardening around the patio, eliminating the need for stairs to enjoy the beautiful backyard.”
The lanai is highlighted by the stone fireplace with a flat screen TV above it, and an outdoor kitchen with a bar and grill, making it a prime location for outdoor entertaining.
The open main floor of the house also has special design features. “The gourmet kitchen is located at the front of the house with beautiful views so it has nice definition,” Ray said. “It has windows over the sink overlooking the front of the house so you can look out the front, but also has great sight lines to the back and out onto the lanai.”
The design continues with an expanded dining area highlighted by what Campbell described as a beautiful fireplace at one end and a stunning view out over the lanai.
The house has four bedrooms, all with private bathrooms. One is designed as a flex room on the main level that could be a bedroom or home office, which is highlighted by sliding glass doors opening to the patio.
This home is one of several that Cecil & Ray Custom Homes has built at Loch Lloyd. They just completed two new custom homes, one overlooking the iconic 14th hole of the Tom Watson Signature Design golf course that was featured in the November edition of 435 Magazine. And they are currently building two more custom homes on the golf course, both already sold.
Cecil said his clients choose Loch Lloyd for the same reason his company likes to build inside the private gated community: they have confidence in the vision and financial stability of developer FiveStar Lifestyles, owned by Neal Patterson and Cliff Illig.
Cecil and Ray said the unmatched resort-lifestyle amenities and the beautiful setting are driving Loch Lloyd’s success.
“This is a unique, upscale community with an unparalleled resort lifestyle,” Cecil said. “You get resort amenities without traveling. You’re on vacation 365 days of the year. And the people who live here have established special relationships and friendships — there is a remarkable sense of community.”
At the center of the resort lifestyle is The Country Club at Loch Lloyd, where members have access not only to golf on the acclaimed Tom Watson Signature Design, but also to other venues that encourage healthy lifestyles, such as the fully equipped fitness center, tennis courts and swimming pools. The club also offers formal and informal dining venues provided by the award-winning culinary staff led by Executive Chef Brian Jantz.
The Country Club at Loch Lloyd offers varying levels of membership, allowing residents to choose the option that best fits their lifestyle.
Loch Lloyd residents and members enjoy a multitude of activities that foster a strong sense of community, such as the popular Garden Club, an abundance of summer programs for children and a vibrant social fabric with events like wine tastings, deck crawls and festive celebrations of the major holidays throughout the year.
Loch Lloyd boasts one of the finest building teams in the city, according to Campbell. Other builders include Evan-Talan Homes, Koehler Building Company, Forner-LaVoy Homes, Rick Standard, Don Julian Homes and C & M Builders.
Although Loch Lloyd offers a private retreat from the traffic and high taxes in Johnson County, it is minutes from shopping, restaurants and services in Leawood.
“You can be at the grocery store and all the conveniences at 135th and State Line in five minutes,” Cecil said. “I can’t think of a better place to live in the Midwest.”
