Estates of Wolf Creek is celebrating idyllic lifestyle and Parade entries

The Estates of Wolf Creek is celebrating its idyllic, small-town lifestyle with its two entries on the Spring Parade of Homes, which runs through May 11.

The Estates of Wolf Creek is celebrating its idyllic, small-town lifestyle with its two entries on the Spring Parade of Homes, which runs through May 11.

Brent Kendrick, who markets the community for the Scottie Broderick Team of RE/MAX State Line, urges homebuyers to visit Wolf Creek at 191st Street and Ridgeview Road to see what’s been generating excitement and fast-paced sales in this popular Spring Hill community.

Quality-built homes are part of the success in this Spring Hill community. But, just as important, is the laid-back lifestyle provided by abundant amenities.

This spring and summer, residents of all ages will be strolling along the walking trails, carrying their fishing gear, to take advantage of the existing five-acre stocked lake. A second lake is planned. As the weather warms, they can take a refreshing dip in the swimming pool, complete with cabana, and a favorite warm-weather gathering spot.

When the kids tire of swimming, they can head to the adjacent play area for more outdoor recreation, also available now.

The ability to walk to community activities doesn’t end when summer fades. Children also take the trails to the new Wolf Creek Elementary School, which opened last fall right in the community on land donated by Wolf Creek Development. The school is part of the acclaimed Spring Hill School District, offering a low student-to-teacher ratio and recipient of 24 Standard of Excellence citations.

Students also are within walking distance of Spring Hill High School, recognized as one of two Kansas Service Learning Leader Schools for integrating curriculum with community service.

The Estates of Wolf Creek has quickly become a tight-knit community of friends, with residents planning community activities throughout the year and staying connected through the Estates of Wolf Creek’s Homeowners Group Facebook page at

The 240 acres comprising The Estates of Wolf Creek are centered around a future 15-acre city park, adding to the amenities offered within the community. This quiet atmosphere, reminiscent of small-town living in years past, has created an unprecedented demand from homebuyers.

“Homes are selling as quickly as they can be built,” Kendrick said. “In fact, we had three closings just last week.”

Those who visit during the Spring Parade of Homes will see the workmanship that goes into each home by the two detailed-oriented builders working in the Estates of Wolf Creek.

One of the entries, Robert Garver’s two-story Savannah plan, won an American Dream Grand Award. It offers about 2,596 square feet of living space that includes four bedrooms, 31/2 bathrooms and a three-car garage.

“This home has a massive covered deck and a walk-in pantry that is the size of most bedrooms,” Kendrick said.

The open main-level design includes a great room, dining room, breakfast room and island kitchen, as well as a convenient storage bench and powder room along the entry from the garage. The home features granite counter tops in the kitchen and all bathrooms, as well as custom cabinets, hardwood floors and iron stair spindles.

The Savannah is priced at $339,950, which Kendrick said is an incredible price for a home this size with all of these features.

The other Parade entry is builder Kelly Dunn’s Dunwood plan, the largest reverse ranch plan offered in the Estates of Wolf Creek and priced at $319,000. This 3,096-square-foot home offers three bedrooms, including the master suite, and two bathrooms on the main level as well as two additional bedrooms and another bathroom on the lower level.

The open design of the main level includes a living room and dining room, as well as a walk-in pantry. A large recreation room and ample storage completes the lower level.

The tandem three-car garage is perfect of those who want extra storage or a place for their boat, Kendrick said. And with Hillsdale Lake just a few minutes away, several Wolf Creek residents are boat owners.

In addition to the two Parade entries, visitors will find an array of inventory homes in various stages of completion, including some homes that are immediately available, in a variety of two-story, ranch and reverse ranch floor plans.

Homebuyers who choose to have a home custom built in Wolf Creek will be pleased to know that if they use preferred lender EverBank, they can take advantage of extended lock-rate options of up to 270 days (nine months) that offer a float-down option one time if interest rates decline.

EverBank also has a Lock and Shop plan, which allows buyers to lock in today’s interest rate and remove the stress of rate fluctuations. The rate is locked for 90 days and also offers a one-time float-down if rates fall.

In addition to fixed-rate mortgages, EverBank offers a variety of adjustable rate mortgages, USDA Rural Development mortgages with zero down payment, first-time homebuyers programs and VA loans available through Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and FHA.

Because The Estates of Wolf Creek offers such a wide spectrum of floor plans, it has drawn a diversity of residents that includes singles, families, empty-nesters and retirees. The community is near access to U.S. 69 and U.S. 169 highways, allowing residents to quickly reach all parts of the metropolitan area, and is only about 10 minutes south of Olathe.
