Award-winning new-home builder Summit Custom Homes is featuring 22 new homes on the Spring Parade of Homes, presented by Home Builders Association of Greater Kansas City.
The Parade of Homes begins today and runs through Sunday, May 11. The homes are open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. The metro-wide builder has entries spread throughout the city, so there is something for everyone to see.
“Summit Custom Homes is building in premier communities throughout the Kansas City metro area, and we wanted to give a good representation of that through our Parade of Homes entries,” said Jodi Hermstedt, sales director for Summit Custom Homes. “The homes are spread out, so no matter where you are in the metro area you can experience the Summit difference for yourself.”
The Kansas City Business Journal recently awarded Summit Custom Homes with its “Champions of Business” designation. The award recognizes an elite group of area for-profit companies that set the gold standard for financial performance, industry leadership and community involvement.
“This award is such a huge honor to receive and I would like to extend my congratulations to all of the other award winners as well,” said Fred Delibero, president and CEO of Summit Custom Homes.
Summit is known for building energy-efficient homes with exceptional standard features and for its relentless dedication to customer satisfaction. Its entries in this year’s Parade of Homes are no exception; each one is built with energy efficiency and healthier indoor air quality in mind, and each features a lengthy list of impressive standard features.
Among Summit’s standard features are stucco and stone veneer front elevations; three-car garage on many plans; wide-plank wood flooring in all main-floor traffic areas; island kitchens with custom-made designer cabinetry; rubbed-copper wrought-iron stair spindles; spa master bathroom with tile flooring and oversized tiled walk-in shower with dual shower heads; premium Delta plumbing fixtures; stainless steel kitchen appliances; and an industry-leading 10-year structural home warranty, to name a few.
Such attention to detail is only a part of what make Summit Custom Homes so special, however.
Summit’s focus is on building finely crafted, energy-efficient homes featuring innovative floor plans and unique decorative features, all at an exceptional value. Summit Custom Homes’ available Green Build Advantage program incorporates the latest building science to deliver a more energy-efficiency home rated at up to 30 percent more efficient than other newly built homes and 50 percent more efficient than a 10-year-old home.
Healthier indoor air quality is achieved by using formaldehyde-free insulation; low or no VOC (volatile organic compound) paints, glues and sealants where available; a passive radon remediation system; sealed air distribution ductwork; and a high-particulate MERV-11 furnace filter. This all translates into lower utility bills and, most importantly, a more comfortable living environment.
“Summit is thrilled to be a part of the Parade of Homes,” said Megan Fratzke, marketing manager for Summit Custom Homes. “Spring is an exciting time for home buying and it is fun to get out, enjoy the fresh air, and look at all of the homes. We have something for everyone in this year’s Parade, so I encourage everyone to come out and see our homes.”
