Next weekend marks a truly momentous occasion at Kensington Farms. A grand opening celebration will be held to introduce a newly finished model home. The new model is the first completed home from Inspired Homes’ new portfolio of floor plans, which was introduced earlier this year. And it’s the first model (and Inspired Homes community) that will feature the company’s state-of-the-art sales center, an interactive technology hub that lets prospective buyers explore floor plans, homesites and communities, all from a touchscreen monitor.
“It’s exciting to be presenting our new business,” said Todd Lipschutz, president, Inspired Homes. “We’ve changed our floor plans, we’ve changed how we market, how we present, how we sell — we’ve changed every aspect of our business, so it’s the culmination of a lot of hard work by the group to unveil our new model homes and our new floor plans.”
The grand opening celebration will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 12, at Kensington Farms in Lee’s Summit (1421 SW Sapperton Rd., Lee’s Summit). Lunch will be provided by the Three Pigs BBQ food truck (while supplies last), and ice cream will also be served. Plus, guests will have a chance to tour the new model home, a two-story Saddleback that features a Craftsman elevation, four bedrooms and 2½ bathrooms.
The Saddleback is part of Inspired Homes’ new portfolio of floor plans, which launched in early 2017. The new layouts include two ranch plans and three two-story floor plans, including one two-story plan with an optional first-floor guest suite, giving prospective buyers an enticing selection from which to choose. The modern layouts are enhanced with popular features like expanded drop zone areas, kitchen command centers with built-in tech ports and second-story loft spaces.
Never miss a local story.
Additionally, the floor plans offer opportunities for personalization — adding a bedroom, for example, or a versatile flex space. The new Kensington Farms model home is a prime example. The Saddleback offers three bedrooms with a loft space that can be converted into a fourth bedroom, and the new model will showcase the fourth bedroom option.
In addition to debuting the new model home, the grand opening event will also be a chance for Inspired Homes to introduce guests to the first of several interactive sales centers. The modern sales center — which community manager Kevin Lau described as a similar concept to an Apple store — features an interactive 46-inch touchscreen display, which guests can use to explore floor plans and personalization options, see available homesites and learn more about Inspired Homes’ communities.
And once a home is purchased, the comprehensive software package continues to make the process more efficient for all involved. Final floor plans are sent to the architect and engineer, and Lipschutz said he can submit to permit “45 to 60 days faster than normal. All the software syncs together, so we’re able to run a 21st century homebuilding business powered by new technology.”
The grand opening celebration also gives guests a prime opportunity to explore all that awaits at Kensington Farms. Located to the south and west of the intersection of Missouri 150 and 291 highways, Kensington Farms is ideally situated to offer residents convenient access to shops, services and the bustling Interstate 435 and 470 employment corridors. Yet despite close proximity to several highways, Kensington Farms is enveloped in 74 acres of green space, creating a lush backdrop and just enough seclusion to make Kensington Farms feel like a peaceful retreat without sacrificing a convenient commute.
Lee’s Summit was ranked by Money magazine as one of the “100 Best Cities to Live In in the United States.” And at Kensington Farms, homeowners can take full advantage of an enviable location that’s served by the award-winning Raymore-Peculiar School District, one of many reasons why Kensington Farms has become a popular choice for families.
The community’s affordability is another compelling factor that continues to drive brisk interest from prospective buyers. Pre-grand opening pricing starts at $231,990, an accessible and market-leading price point that reinforces Inspired Homes’ commitment to its buyers and ensuring they have a thoughtfully designed, quality-built home in an appealing location served by strong schools. And through the month of August, prospective buyers can take advantage of a promotion for additional savings. Buyers who use Inspired Homes’ recommended lender, NASB, will receive $3,000 in closing costs for homes purchased through August 30, 2017.
Within the community, homeowners have access to inviting amenities that include a swimming pool and playground — the perfect place to spend leisurely summer days with family and friends. The new model home is located across the street from the amenities center, so don’t miss a chance to see the pool, cabana and playground during the grand opening!
