Within the inviting enclave of Ridgestone Meadows, located just off the flourishing Shawnee Mission Parkway corridor, excitement is high as infrastructure for the community’s third and final phase is underway. Curbs are installed and streets will be finished within the coming weeks, giving prospective homeowners a prime opportunity to make priority lot reservations while homesites are still available.
Third-phase homesites continue the tradition of Ridgestone Meadows’ tranquil, picturesque surroundings. The final phase includes 37 homesites, many of which are walkout—and the majority of which are on treed or wooded locations. Additionally, new model homes will be under construction later this year. Homesite prices start at $110,000 and homes are priced from the $500,000s.
“There are some beautiful, private homesite options,” said community manager Jennifer Harvey with ReeceNichols. “The final phase offers some really incredible opportunities.”
Elsewhere in the community, just 10 homesites remain from earlier phases. All offer wooded locations that create scenic backdrops for the community’s stately homes. Several homesites are extra-wide, ideal for accommodating larger floor plans, a side-entry garage or other features. All of these homesites are competitively priced from $72,500, giving prospective buyers a chance to take advantage of an incredible one-time value.
Never miss a local story.
For those interested in accommodating a faster move-in timeline (and taking advantage of Ridgestone Meadows’ amenities during the summer, including an inviting swimming pool), several speculative homes are available from an award-winning building team that includes J.S. Robinson Fine Homes, Rodrock Homes, Dreams & Design Building and McCord Builders.
The community’s model sales office is one of the available homes, a gorgeous Lancaster III floor plan from Rodrock with a finished lower level. The two-story home includes six bedrooms, five bathrooms and a spacious, open layout. A covered porch (accessible via both the morning room and a main-floor bedroom) is the perfect spot to enjoy the surrounding scenery with an al fresco meal or morning coffee. Prospective buyers eager to move to Ridgestone Meadows quickly are encouraged to come out to the community and view the model. The builder is motivated, so prospective buyers are welcome to propose an offer and seize an opportunity to get a model home at a fantastic price.
Additional speculative homes include reverse 1½-story and two-story floor plans. Three homes are ready now, and one reverse 1½-story home will be available in approximately 60 days. Prices start in the mid-$400,000s.
To fully grasp the appeal of Ridgestone Meadows, simply drive through the community’s majestic stone entrance that welcomes residents home with the soothing flow of an eye-catching fountain. The entrance establishes a captivating aesthetic that extends to the community’s distinctive homes, all of which are carefully sited to blend with their natural surroundings. The building team takes great care to ensure that each home is different, with a limited number of each plan allowed on the same street.
“This is definitely not a cookie-cutter neighborhood,” Harvey said.
Because nature is such an integral part of Ridgestone Meadows, all of the community’s homes feature outdoor living spaces with varying features, including screened porches; decks and patios with fireplaces; fire pits and outdoor kitchens. A wide array of floor plans is available, including ranch, 1½-story, reverse 1½-story and two-story designs, all of which offer a minimum of four bedrooms, three bathrooms and three-car garages. Additionally, buyers who purchase a currently remaining homesite are welcome to work with an outside builder pending developer approval.
The homes and scenery are no doubt among Ridgestone Meadows’ most captivating features, yet new residents will soon be immersed in a welcoming, lively social community that includes year-round events. Harvey, who was among the first group of Ridgestone Meadows residents in 2007, said community celebrations are among her favorite things about the neighborhood, including a Christmas party, Fourth of July gathering, wine tastings and trick-or-treating.
Outside of Ridgestone Meadows, a wealth of shops, services and dining is a short drive away. Convenient highway access makes any point of interest within the Kansas City metro area easily accessible. And families are especially drawn to the community thanks to its location within the award-winning De Soto School District, ranked No. 1 in Kansas and No. 11 in the U.S. by Money magazine. Within minutes of Ridgestone Meadows are Horizon Elementary and Mill Creek Middle schools, as well as Mill Valley High School, which received the Governor’s Award as one of the top 5 percent of schools in the state.
All of this adds up to an incredible opportunity for prospective buyers.
“I tell people Ridgestone Meadows is a hidden gem,” Harvey said. “Its excellent schools and secluded yet central location offer everything a homebuyer could want.”
