Since 2005, KC Property Pros has offered a variety of quick, easy and cost-effective solutions for selling one’s home.
Whether due to downsizing, divorce, moving to accept a new job, relocating into a particular school district, inheriting a property, or other reason for making a move, KC Property Pros has the expertise to get the job done.
Owner Brandon Logan has extensive real estate experience that allows him to realistically value the homes his company purchases. Brett Shelton, who joined him in 2009, possesses expertise in accounting and remodeling. Together, they are able to offer homeowners the best advice on how to sell their house, even if KC Property Pros isn’t their best option.
“Homeowners need a buyer they can trust – that’s us,” Logan said. “They don’t need a national company that just puts their house into a formula to make a low-ball offer. They need to sell but want someone to help them make the best decision. We offer honest solutions for local sellers.”
Never miss a local story.
After touring a house, Logan usually makes an offer within 24 hours and since the company pays cash, the seller can avoid going through a more conventional selling process, and often close within as little as a week.
When S.S. decided to help a friend who had been widowed for many years sell her house and move into a retirement community, she remembered reading about KC Property Pros in the newspaper.
“I thought it sounded like a fantastic way to sell a house, so I called and made an appointment,” S.S. said. “When Brandon came out, he was very personable, looked at the house, and took the time to visit with us.”
S.S. and her friend had done a little research, and knew about how much money they wanted. The home was not in disrepair, it just needed a few updates. When Brandon made his offer, it was a bit less than what they had envisioned.
“He explained to us that for the work he would have to do to get it sold we couldn’t get that much, but he gave us a number and we thought it was a very fair offer,” S.S. recalled. “We had talked to a realtor previously, and she didn’t even want to list it for as much as we actually got out of the house. With his offer we thought, ‘This was so easy. Why should we go any further than this?’”
According to Logan, most buyers don’t want to buy a house and then work on it. Today’s buyers want a move-in-ready house, but the repairs can be very expensive, especially if the seller does not have a background in construction or design.
“It’s very important to make the right repairs even if the repairs are only cosmetic,” Logan explained. “I’ve seen good people make expensive mistakes updating or rehabbing their home, either from hiring bad contractors to something as simple as picking out the wrong colors. It’s not an easy process and mistakes can be very costly.”
Brandon and his team gave S.S. and her friend plenty of time to make whatever arrangements necessary to have a garage sale, donate some items, and pack up her things. “He even told us he had a truck that we could borrow if we wanted, but (the retirement community) paid for the move, so we just had to pack everything and go. It was so smooth and easy.”
In addition to his work with KC Property Pros, Logan points out that his background as a real estate agent for banks is especially helpful to homeowners, especially those who may be facing foreclosure or a short sale,
“I have experience working with banks in those situations,” he said. “If you know someone going through hard times and about to lose their home, have them call me as soon as possible. We can help them avoid foreclosure and get them a fresh start in life.”
S.S. and her friend couldn’t have been any happier with the entire process.
“I just thought everything was handled so well, they did a wonderful job, and you couldn’t have asked for it to be any better,” said S.S. “Brandon was so easy to work with, Jennifer in his office was so nice and very accommodating anytime we called, and I would highly recommend them to anyone!”
