Actors to perform works in progress

Local actor/playwrights will perform excerpts of works in progress on Friday at the Fishtank Performance Studio, 1715 Wyandotte St.

Curator Heidi Van said she hoped the performance, dubbed “Factory in the Fishtank,” would be the first of a regular series on the first Friday of each month, when galleries and studios in the Crossroads District open their doors to the public.

Ron Megee, Vanessa Severo, Lisa Cordes and Van are slated to perform, along with Fishtank resident artists Damian Torres-Botello and Peter Lawless.

Doors open at 8 p.m. and performances begin at 9 p.m. Pay-what-you-can tickets will be available at the door for $5-$15.

Also at the Fishtank on Nov. 12-14 will be Chicago-based Shanna Shrum performing her original solo piece “Skinny Dipping.”
