Bonito Michoacan in Kansas City, Kan., has expanded with a new Olathe location.

The Latino grocery store, deli and bakery will celebrate its grand opening today at 1231 E. Santa Fe, Olathe.

Grand opening festivities run till to 9 p.m. and include many “pre-recession” prices on grocery and baked items, along with $1 tacos and a mariachi band from 5 to 7 p.m.

It also is collecting coats all day for The Salvation Army. For each coat people donate they will receive a raffle ticket for the chance to win a prize.

The store is known for its meats that are carved-to-order and baked goods that are made from scratch on-site without preservatives.
