A recently announced celebrity guest will need to use his “sixth sense” for something other than seeing dead people at next weekend’s Big Slick — perhaps to catch softballs and to bowl strikes.
Organizers announced Thursday that Haley Joel Osment will join the list of celebrities participating in Big Slick Celebrity Weekend June 17 and 18. Actors Tom Arnold and Hilarie Burton have also been added to the list.
Osment is perhaps best known for his portrayal of the ghost-seeing young boy in “The Sixth Sense,” and Arnold co-starred with Arnold Schwarzenegger in “True Lies.” Both are making their Big Slick debuts.

Burton, who is a Big Slick alumna, portrayed Peyton Sawyer on “One Tree Hill” and was a VJ at MTV.

Big Slick — hosted by hometown stars Jason Sudeikis, Rob Riggle, Paul Rudd, Eric Stonestreet and David Koechner — will mark its seventh year benefiting the Cancer Center at Children’s Mercy. Celebrity guests will play a softball game at The K, participate in a bowling tournament and raise money at an auction party.
Organizers will continue to release names for the rest of the week. Most recently, they announced on Wednesday that David Cook, Will Forte, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Joseph Hopkins and Neil Flynn will attend. Tuesday night: comedians George Wendt, John Hodgman and Robert Smigel. Earlier on Tuesday: stars Aisha Tyler, James Van der Beek and Kevin Pollak. On Monday: Olivia Wilde, James Marsden, Kevin Rahm and Judy Greer.
