Game of Thrones writer George R.R. Martin flips off fans worried about his health

“Game of Thrones” author George R.R. Martin has two words for fans worrying that his health might fail before he finishes his fantasy book series: Screw you.

It was a brave journalist for Swiss daily Tages-Anzeiger who brought up the topic in a recent interview and elicited the angry response.

Fans have long worried that the 65-year-old author won’t finish writing “A Song of Ice and Fire,” the series that spawned the HBO show “Game of Thrones,” before he croaks.

And Martin is sick of the speculation.

“I find that question pretty offensive, frankly, when people start speculating about my death and my health,” he told the Swiss interviewer.

Then he raised his middle finger for emphasis and said: “So f*** you to those people.”
