On Monday, a little dog named Peanut was crowned the World’s Ugliest Dog. On Wednesday, Jimmy Kimmel tried to give the little guy a makeover.
The 2-year-old rescue dog – a mix of Chihuahua and Shih Tzu – was seriously burned as a puppy, which resulted in bald patches all over his body.
His wild hair, bulging eyes and wickedly crooked teeth helped earn Peanut the ugliest dog title at the Sonoma-Marin Fair in Petuluma, Calif. this week.
“We're trying to use him as a poster child for what can happen to animals who are abused," said Peanut’s owner, Holly Chandler of Greenville, N.C.
Trying to help the little guy out, Kimmel brought in a team of folks to style Peanut’s hair and give him some snazzy new threads and a beauty makeover on Wednesday’s episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live.”
“Peanut hasn't had it easy and we wanted to give him a special gift,” said Kimmel.
Did they succeed? We’ll let you decide.
