By now, Royals fans are pretty familiar with second baseman Ben Zobrist — a late addition to the team who quickly became a beloved player.
And if you watched Game 1 of the ALDS last week, you got a quick introduction to Zobrist’s wife, Julianna, when she sang the National Anthem.
But what about the rest of their clan?
Never miss a local story.
A quick peek at Julianna’s Instagram proves the duo is all about family. And the more we learn about them, the more lovable they become.

Exhibit B: Ben dressing up as a king with a pregnant Julianna as Elsa for Kruse’s 4th birthday party:
And Exhibit C: Ben pitching to Kruse at Kauffman Stadium:
And that’s only the tip of the iceberg. Ben and Julianna, both very open about their Christian faith, wrote a book together called “Double Play,” centered around Ben’s faith and career in baseball. Here’s a trailer for the book, which provides an inside look at the couple’s life at home:
If that’s not enough to make you love the Zobrists, no worries, there’s more.
Ben shows his support for Julianna, a successful Christian artist, by using her song “The Dawn” as his walk-up song. And Julianna shows her support for Ben by cheering him on with their little ones, near or far.
More about the Zobrists can be learned through Julianna’s YouTube videos, where she answers questions about how she and Ben met, his wedding gift to her, and her career as a Christian singer.
And after briefly living vicariously through Julianna’s social media posts, we can say this for sure: We hope the Royals can keep this family in Kansas City for a while longer.
