It seems that the “worst dater in all of Missouri” is one Jocelyn Price from Blue Springs.
At least, that’s according to talk show host Steve Harvey, who has chosen Price, 24, for his latest “United Dates of America” segment.
According to a press release from the show, Price is studying to be a minister and plans to be celibate until she gets married. She’s finding it hard to meet someone who shares her values and lifestyle.
So Harvey set her up with “a great Christian guy.” In the episode, she says she is really “praying he’s the man of God I can fellowship with.”
Well, the date shows up and finds out he has to meet her entire congregation at a backyard barbecue. Apparently, that didn’t work out so well, so Harvey is trying again.
In a pre-taped show, Harvey has set Price up with Terrance Alfaro, who is originally from St. Louis and now lives in Illinois. Not only is he a worship leader at his church, he’s also a Christian radio DJ.
How will this date play out?
Watch the “Steve Harvey” show on KMBC-TV, Channel 9, at 3 p.m. Wednesday to find out.
By the way, this is not the first time Harvey has featured someone from Blue Springs. In February, he welcomed young Alli Koepkey to the show to thank her for her “acts of kindness.”
