It’s a big week for “Harry Potter” fans:
• The spinoff movie “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them,” which takes place 70 years before Harry enters Hogwarts, now has a release date, Nov. 18, 2016. J.K. Rowling is writing the screenplay for this first film in what’s expected to be a franchise. No director has been named yet.
• The new ride opening in July at Universal Orlando now has a name, Harry Potter and the Escape From Gringotts, says The Associated Press. It includes a 60-foot dragon atop Gringotts Wizarding Bank, a labyrinth of vaults and a marble hall with goblins. Your mission: Retrieve a magical object to defeat Lord Voldemort. It’s all part of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter-Diagon Alley, which will be connected to the original Wizarding World via the Hogwarts Express.
