Director Zack Snyder, busy at work on the upcoming “Batman vs. Superman” flick, tweeted a photo of Ben Affleck’s new Batman costume on Tuesday. Looks like the Dark Knight has a new ride, too.

Affleck will look very buff, indeed. (No word on whether that’s actually him wearing the costume in the photo.)

Batman fanatics have already noted that the new costume – from cowl to insignia to utility belt – looks straight off the page from Frank Miller’s seminal comic series, “The Dark Knight Returns.”

And is Bruce Wayne sporting a 5 o’clock shadow?

(Less-kind folks note that the new Batsuit with its short, stubby ears, looks kind of like the one Affleck wore as “Daredevil,” a movie he recently said he regrets.)

Snyder teased fans on Monday by tweeting out a photo of the new Batmobile hidden under a tarp. He revealed it on Tuesday, notably sleeker, less clunky and more traditional than the ride featured in Christopher Nolan’s “Dark Knight” trilogy.

Currently filming in Detroit, Snyder’s movie brings two of the greatest superheroes of all time together for the first time on the big screen.

Affleck will wear the Caped Crusader’s cape for the first time opposite Henry Cavill as Superman, who starred in Snyder’s “Man of Steel.”

The film is slated to cruise into theaters May 6, 2016.
