What’s in your wallet, Alec Baldwin?
Apparently not his ID, because the former Capital One spokesman was taken into custody on the streets of New York City Tuesday morning partly because he didn't have one.
In Touch Weekly
magazine was the first to report that the “30 Rock” actor was handcuffed by a police officer and placed in the back of a cop car.
reports that Baldwin was taken in for riding his bicycle the wrong way on Fifth Avenue – and that he didn’t have his ID on him while riding.
"Alec was taken into custody in order to ID him and given two summons this morning in NYC," the New York Deputy Commissioner of Public Information told "The Insider With Yahoo," clarifying that Baldwin was not arrested.
"One for riding his bicycle in the opposite direction of traffic and another for disorderly conduct. He was taken to the 13th precinct and has been released."
One eyewitness told In Touch that Baldwin was “calm and quiet,” though another onlooker said he “went ballistic on the cops, screaming at them” earlier during the altercation.
