Mystery solved. The cast for J.J. Abrams’ “Star Wars: Episode VII” has been revealed.
Here’s the line-up: John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, and Max von Sydow.
Original cast members Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker are coming back, too.
Disney and Lucasfilm made the announcement Tuesday.
Abrams, who wrote the screenplay with Lawrence Kasdan, will direct and produce. John Williams will write the music, as he has for the other “Star Wars” movies.
“We are so excited to finally share the cast of ‘Star Wars: Episode VII.’ It is both thrilling and surreal to watch the beloved original cast and these brilliant new performers come together to bring this world to life, once again,” Abrams said in statement.
“We start shooting in a couple of weeks, and everyone is doing their best to make the fans proud.”
Disney chief Bob Iger has said that this new installment will be set 30 years after 1983′s “Return of the Jedi.”
The movie is slated for release on Dec. 18, 2015.
