They’re fallin’ like flies – first Miley Cyrus, now Lorde.

The 17-year-old “Royals” singer has postponed her concert tour of Australia because of a chest infection. The eight-date tour was scheduled to open in Melbourne on Thursday.

Lorde told her fans on Twitter that her family and team are forcing her to take a break after a busy few months in which she won a Grammy for best pop solo performance for “Royals.”

When she performed in Las Vegas last week she finally met George Brett, her “Royals” muse.

“I have had to postpone my Australian shows because of a nasty chest infection and general ill health,” she wrote on Twitter. “I am so so gutted to have to do this but my parents and my team stepped in telling me I needed a break.”

She told fans that she’s been going “non-stop since the grammys in january. we will 100% be back for this tour (most likely in november) so don't worry about that. i just need time to get back to full gollum girl fitness before i go out playing shows again.”

She is reportedly returning home to recuperate.

Meanwhile, Miley Cyrus has left Kansas City and is hospitalized at an undisclosed location while she recuperates from a severe allergic reaction to an antibiotic she reportedly took for a sinus infection.
